Patio

Patio is a rebrand of the wine bar in San Marcos, Tx called Patio Dolcetto. The original
challenge was that the current branding of Patio is too upscale for their clientele which
mostly consists of college aged guests. The approach was to create a new trademark
that felt more inviting and casual and then create packaging that matched this tone.

Packaging

A wine bottle carrier was designed since they sell wine from the bar. The triangular shape of the carrier creates interest to passers-by
and is user friendly by being both secure and easily opened when the guest returns home. Following the more friendly and inviting tone
created by the new mark the pattern on one side is bright and colorful while the other side is simple with the trademark. The front and
back of the carrier has their slogan ‘share, relax, enjoy’ also evoking this tone.

The wine labels reference both the river that runs through San Marcos and a wine glass with the curve in the front and back.
The patter was utilized to create a systematic packaging system for the different types of wine they sell by changing the color to
just one of the three. This is also reiterated by the change of color in the name of the wine.
